What We Treat

Acupuncture is one tool among a repertoire of modalities within the East Asian Medicine system (sometimes also called EAM, Traditional Chinese Medicine [TCM], or Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine [AOM]), including cupping, gua sha, herbal and nutritional therapies, and more. This system has a rich history as primary care in East Asia for thousands of years, as well as in partnership with Western medicine, even in hospital settings. Thus, classically, Eastern medicine has been utilized (especially alongside Western medicine and other support therapies) to treat virtually any complaint. That's not to say that EAM is curative for virtually any ailment, but rather, acupuncture and Asian medicine can be employed to help your body's own healing mechanisms to be at their fullest potential, to help you to be resilient and vital for preventative measures, and to support you with palliative-type care for chronic conditions.

Any lab work or diagnoses that you currently have will be important and valuable information for you to keep us updated with. In addition to that, we will often check your pulse and tongue presentations, ask questions, and make observations to then formulate your unique treatment plan (which will include a recommendation about which services/modalities are best for you as well the frequency of your visits). This treatment plan is dynamic and will evolve as you improve or as we address other goals for your health during our journey together. We are also very happy to serve patients who are interested in preventative care and desire to come in for treatment as needed and on their own timing.

Olive Tree Acu would love to be part of your healthcare team!
